Epsom salt is an absolute gift. Made of magnesium sulfate, it has a myriad of uses for our health and wellness. It has been used to remove splinters, lessen foot odor, and ease swelling. Personally I love throwing them in the bath, enriched when I mix them with essential oils. I find that a bath taken with epsom salts doesn’t even need bubbles to feel lush.

Here’s a favorite mix I particularly enjoy when I need to calm myself or when I’m suffering aches and pains, especially headaches. I also love that this sets me up for a great night’s sleep.Calm & Clear Soak:

  • Epsom Salt
  • Himalayan Pink Salt
  • Sea Salt
  • Lavender Essential Oil
  • Eucalyptus Essential Oil
  • Dried Lavender Buds
  1. In a mixing bowl measure out epsom salts in accordance with how much you want to make, or rather according to your storage container. Add several pinches of sea salt. Add himalayan salt to variate the color to your taste.
  2. Add a few drops of the lavender and eucalyptus essential oils to achieve your preferred scent intensity. Be careful not to overdo this. Mix well.
  3. Add lavender buds. Mix.

Add a handful (or two or three) to your bath and enjoy!
